It varies a lot but I think I waited about 6-8 weeks for my initial assessment back in January. After that, the therapy start time depends on what you need.

You can totally self-refer! That's what I did, just filled out a form online. No need to see your doctor unless you want to.

How does this compare to something like Mind? Heard good things about both but not sure which one to try.

Wellbeing is proper NHS so it's usually more structured, like CBT and stuff. Mind often has more peer support groups and advice lines, a bit different but both good.

I'd say Wellbeing is more about the clinical therapy side, while Mind can be more general support and advocacy. Depends what you're looking for, I guess.
